In Memory of Andrew M. Micek

Andrew M. Micek of Shelby, Nebraska died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus.  Services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in rural Bellwood with the Reverend Jeremy Hazuka officiating.  Visitation is on Tuesday from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. also at the church.  Visitation continues Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.  Interment is in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Andrew Micek was born October 8, 1913 in Polk County, Nebraska to Jacob and Victoria (Iwan) Micek. He attended grade school in Polk County. He married Hilda L. Poeffel February 24, 1941 at St. Joseph Catholic Church - rural Bellwood, Nebraska. Andrew lived and farmed in the Shelby area his entire life. He was a member of St. Joseph Church. Andrew loved the farm life, polka music and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
