Iris Averett

Iris Averett, age 91, of Columbus died Friday, August 19, 2005 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. There will be a private service at a later date. Memorial are suggested to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Iris Averett was born October 8, 1913 in Driggs, Idaho to Jehu and Diana (Hopkins) Fenn. She grew up in Idaho where she received her education. On July 16, 1933 she married August Averett in Gooding, Idaho. Iris was an avid golfer and a grandmaster bridge player. She was an accomplished musician and played the organ for her church. In her earlier years she and her husband taught dance for her church.

Sister: Edith (B.F.) Johnson of Tucson, AZ
Sister: Margaret (Everett) Hill of Chandler, AZ

6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
