Willard Paul Kumm, age 82, of Columbus, Nebraska died Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at the Butler County Health Care in David City, Nebraska. Funeral Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005 at the Bible Baptist Church in Columbus with Reverend Robert Walker officiating. Burial is in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation continues from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bible Baptist Church. Willard P. Kumm was born August 23, 1922 in Osmond, Nebraska to William and Johanna (Lindwurm) Kumm. He worked on the family farm north west of Osmond. On November 15, 1942 he married Betty Wallen of Neligh, Nebraska at Eden Valley Lutheran Church. He served as an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force during World War II and in the Nebraska National Guard during the Korean War. The couple moved to Columbus in 1958. Willard worked for Gehring Ready-mix, Becton-Dickinson and retired from Behlen Mfg in 1982. In 2004 Willard and Betty celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, driving his pickup around, and visiting friends. He is survived by: Wife: Betty Kumm of
