In Memory of Emil "Jr." Behrens

Emil "Jr." Behrens, 66, of Columbus died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at his home in Columbus.  Funeral services are 10:30 am Friday, April 8, 2005 at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus with the Reverend M. Wendell Davis officiating.  Visitation is on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at McKown Funeral Home and on Friday from 9:30 am until service time at the church.  Interment is in Roselawn Memorial Cemetery with military honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard.

Emil "Jr." Behrens was born December 19, 1938 in Pierce, Nebraska to Emil and Opal (Herian) Behrens. He attended school in Pierce. He served in the U.S. Army from January 1956 - November 1957 and later the Army Reserves from 1982-1984. On August 1, 1961 Emil married Mildred Brunswick in Norfolk, Nebraska. He moved to Columbus in 1975 and worked at Duo-Lift and Master Care. Emil enjoyed being outdoors, watching sports and spending time with his friends at Sapp Brothers.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
