In Memory of Sandra Podliska

Sandra M. (Van Dyke) Podliska, 41, of Leigh died Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Columbus Community Hospital.  Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday; November 22, 2004 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus. The Rev. Rodney Kneifl will officiate. Burial will be in the All Saints Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home. A vigil service will held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the St. Bonaventure Church. Visitation will continue Monday morning 8:00-10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Sandra Marie Podliska was born May 9, 1963 in Coushatta, Louisiana to Carroll and Barbara ( Box ) Van Dyke. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1981. She married Kirt Podliska and worked on the farm in the Cedar Rapids area before going to work at Behlen Manufacturing and the Lake Stop Convenience store. She enjoyed bowling and softball.

She was preceded in death by her  grandfather: Benton Box, Jr. and grandparents: Clarence & Mary Van Dyke.
