Rose J. Molcyk

Rose J. Molcyk, age 81 of rural Lindsay, Nebraska died Friday; November 12, 2004 at her home. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Tuesday; November 16, 2004 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Platte Center, Nebraska. The Rev. Rodney Kneifl will officiate. Visitation will be Monday 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A vigil will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday also at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Ss. Patrick/Joseph Cemetery in rural Platte Center.

Rose J. Molcyk was born June 11, 1923 in Platte County, Nebraska to Andrew and Verna (Swantek) Molcyk. She was raised on the family farm. She attended Platte County District #42 and # 64. Rose graduated from Genoa High School in 1942. She lived on the family farm where she enjoyed raising livestock and helping on the farm. Rose enjoyed visiting with friends and family, fishing and going to auctions.
