In Memory of Thaddeus "Ted" Slusarski
Thaddeus "Ted" Slusarski , 89, of Columbus died Monday; March 1, 2004 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with Reverend Frank Jindra officiating. Burial is in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Visitation is 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus and after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. Vigil Service at the Church. Visitation continues Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. also at the Church. Thaddeus "Ted" Leo Slusarski was born January 19, 1915 on the family farm north of Duncan, Nebraska to John and Mary (Maslonka) Slusarski. He attended St. Stanislaus School in Duncan. On October 30, 1944 he was united in marriage to Marcella Micek at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Ted worked for several years with Commonwealth Electric. In 1951 he started farming in Platte and Polk counties until retiring in 1980. Ted was a member of St. Stanislaus Church and had served as president of the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed his grandchildren, traveling, and polka music. Ted had been a resident of Beverly Health Care in Columbus since 1996. He is survived by: Wife Marcella
