E. Luther Roark, 65, of Columbus died Saturday, March 13, 2004 at Columbus Community Hospital. Services are 10:30 am Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at McKown Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Bond officiating. Visitation is on Tuesday morning from 8:30 am until service time. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery on Wednesday at 9:30 am with Military Honors by Hartman Post #84 American Legion Honor Guard. E. Luther Roark was born July 27, 1938 in Central City to William Cody & Frances (Emry) Roark. He grew up in the Fullerton area where he attended schools. He served as a cook in the US Army from 1961 - 1963 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He returned to the Columbus area where he worked as a butcher in his own shop as well as others. He married Rose Ratkovec on August 3, 2003 in Columbus. Luke also worked as a mechanic and co-owned and operated Tailrace Auto Sales. He enjoyed fishing, cars, polka, country music, and westerns.
