In Memory of Barbara Chochon

Barbara D. Chochon, 91, of Columbus died Sunday, August 8, 2004 at Mory's Haven.  Services are 10:30 am Friday, August 13 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus.  Visitation is 4-8 pm Thursday at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 8 pm, also at the funeral home.  Visitation continues Friday morning from 8-10 am at McKown Funeral Home.  Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.  Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.

Barbara was born June 5, 1913 in Duncan to Stanley and Agnes (Koziol) Kosiba. She attended St. Stanislaus School in Duncan. She married Alois Chochon on September 6, 1932 at St Stanislaus Church in Duncan, NE. They farmed in theTarnov area from 1932 to 1972 before moving to Columbus in December of 1972. She was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus, Christian Mothers, St. Ann's Altar Society, and the Catholic Daughters. Barbara belonged to various card clubs and enjoyed babysitting.
