In Memory of Rodney Wehrer

Rodney Wehrer, age 44, of Columbus, Nebraska died Saturday October 25, 2003 in Loup County, Nebraska in an automobile accident.  Funeral Services are 10:30 am Wednesday, October 29, 2003 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with the Rev. Del Lape officiating.  Visitation is after 5 pm Tuesday at St. Anthony Church with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm, also at the church.  Visitation continues Wednesday morning at St. Anthony's.  Interment is in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Rodney Wehrer was born August 12, 1959 in Columbus to Kennard and Arlys (Dolesh) Wehrer. He grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School in 1977. He went to work for Union Pacific Railroad and worked in various positions there throughout his 26 year career. He also worked for A. Glenn Kluck feedlots in Richland and for Wegener Farms. In September he moved to his new home at Duncan Lakes. He enjoyed hunting, four-wheeling, Nascar, and spending time with his dog Niko. He was a member of the River Rats Association and Brotherhood of the Maintenance of Way.
