Rudy Brandt

Rudy Brandt, age 76 of rural Columbus died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday; July 5, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. The Rev. Bill Ritter will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m. at the McKown Funeral Home and Saturday 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church.

Rudy Brandt, Jr. was born August 29, 1926 in Brunswick, Nebraska to Rudolph, Sr. and Irene (Smith) Brandt. He was raised in Antelope County. On December 7, 1945 he was united in marriage to Alice "Grace" Moore in Ponca, Nebraska. Rudy farmed in Antelope, Madison and Dixon Counties before moving to Columbus in 1965. He worked for D& L, Soil Movers and Henke Machinery until retiring in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infants sister Rudene.
