Frances Koziol

Frances S. Koziol, age 88 of Columbus died Wednesday; January 15, 2003 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday; January 17, 2002 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. The Rev. Christopher Grimmond will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 p.m. There will be a 4:00 p.m. rosary and a 7:00 p.m. vigil all at the funeral home on Thursday. Visitation will continue Friday morning 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at McKown Funeral Home.

Frances S. Koziol was born May 10, 1914 in Polk County, Nebraska to John and Balbina (Tryba) Micek. She received her education in rural Polk County Schools. On June 24, 1947 she married Emil Koziol in Osceola, Nebraska. In 1974 Frances and Emil moved into Columbus. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Theresa Sodality and Legion of Mary. Frances was very involved with volunteering her time. She worked nearly every funeral dinner and was and volunteered with the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She enjoyed quilting and visiting with her friends.
