In Memory of Irene Sprunk

Irene E. Sprunk, 79, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Columbus Community Hospital.  Services are 10:00 am Saturday, August 30, 2003 at St. Isidore Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph A. Miksch officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday from 3-6 pm at St. Isidore Catholic Church and on Saturday from 8-9:30 am at McKown Funeral Home.  There will be a Rosary on Friday at 4 pm at St. Isidore's and a Vigil service at 8 pm, also at St. Isidore Church.  Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.

Irene E. Sprunk was born September 1, 1923 in Clearwater, Nebraska to William and Anna (Kaster) Thiele. At an early age she moved to Columbus and graduated from St. Bonaventure High School in 1941. She worked at Loup Public Power from 1941-1951. On October 3, 1951 she married LeRoy Sprunk in Columbus. They lived on a farm in rural Monroe. She belonged to St. Isidore Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, music, flowers, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
