In Memory of Jack C. Fitch

Jack C. Fitch, age 64 of, Duncan Lakes died Tuesday; August 19, 2003 at the Columbus Community Hospital in Columbus, Nebraska.

Memorial graveside services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday; June 19, 2004 at the Brewster Cemetery in Brewster, Nebraska. Fellowship will follow at the American Legion Hall in Brewster.

Jack Cloyd Fitch was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 13, 1939 to Robert D. and Nadine (Cloidt) Fitch. He grew up in Holdrege, Nebraska where he graduated from high school in 1957. He attended Kearney State College, University of Nebraska and graduated from the Colorado School of Mines. Jack served in the United States Army from 1962- 1964. He was married to Mary Ella Smithson on September 14, 1964 in Holdrege, Nebraska. They lived in Glenwood Springs, Colorado until moving to North Platte. In 1980 they moved to Duncan Lakes. Jack was a longtime employee of Nebraska Public Power District where he worked as a land surveyor until his retirement in 1996. Jack also maintain a residence in Brewster, Nebraska where he owned and operated Arrowhead Surveying. Along with his private practice he served as the Blaine County Surveyor. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #323 in Brewster where memorial are directed to American Legion % Billy Guggenmos, HC 63 Box 19 Brewster, NE 68821
