In Memory of Mary A. Chohon

Mary A. Chohon, 91, of Silver Creek died Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at Beverly Healthcare in Columbus. Funeral services are 10:30 am Saturday, November 23, 2002 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek.  Visitation is after 6 pm Friday at St. Lawrence Church and on Saturday from 9:30 am until service time.  There will be a Vigil service at 7:00 pm Friday at the church in Silver Creek.  Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery.   Memorials are suggested to St. Lawrence Cemetery.

Mary A. Chohon was born September 29, 1911 in Nance County to Philip James & Anna (Boro) Zegar. She was raised in Nance County and received her education in Nance County. On January 21, 1930 she was united in marriage to Leo Chohon at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church - Krakow. The couple moved to a farm near Silver Creek where Mary raised chickens, geese and ducks. She was a devoted wife and mother. In her spare time Mary enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidery and playing bingo. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the St. Lawrence Altar Society.
