Geraldine L. Schwartz, 69, of Columbus died Saturday May 11, 2002 at Beverly Health Care in Columbus.  Funeral services are 10:30 am Wednesday May 15 at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church in Columbus.  Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 pm at McKown Funeral Home with a Vigil service at 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday morning from 8-10 am at the funeral home.  Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery in Columbus.

Geraldine L. Schwartz was born March 10, 1933 in Inavale, NE to Herbert & Ellen (Mattison) Lambrecht. She grew up in Red Cloud and graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1951. On September 23, 1951 she was united in marriage to Clayton Schwartz in Red Cloud. They lived in Potter, NE for a short time before moving to Columbus in 1954. She raised five children and enjoyed being a Cub Scout Den Mother, working with crafts, cross-stitch, gardening, fishing and being involved in Church activities. She returned to school where she earned her LPN degree in 1967 from Platte College-Columbus. She worked in the Behlen Community Hospital for a couple of years before going to work for Dr. Clinton Heine as his nurse. She worked for Dr. Heine for over 30 years before retiring in 1999. She was a member of St. Bonaventure Catholic Church.
