Anita Latare

Anita L. Latare, age 74, of Columbus, Nebraska died Sunday May 12, 2002 at Columbus Community Hospital.  Funeral Services are 10:00 a.m. Wednesday May 15, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus with Reverend Douglas Zurek officiating.  Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus.  Visitation is 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. - Service time Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church. A Family Prayer Service will be held 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.

Anita L. Latare was born February 15, 1928 in Lost Nation, Iowa to August and Bernetta (Nissen) Jensen. She graduated from Lost Nation High School in 1946. She married Donald Latare on January 7, 1948 at Lost Nation, Iowa. The couple lived in Lost Nation before moving to DeWitt, Iowa and later to Columbus, Nebraska. Anita worked as a secretary for various places & also worked at Gibsons, Alco and was an Avon representative. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Eagles Auxiliary, A.A.R.P., & did volunteer work at the Columbus Hospital.
