Bernard Stachura

Bernard F. Stachura, 89, of Columbus died Saturday September 22 at Columbus Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 am on Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with the Rev. Dave Korth officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Monday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus with a Vigil service beginning at 7 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Stanislaus Church from 9:30 am until service time. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Bernard F. Stachura was born June 2, 1912 in Polk County Nebraska to Stanley & Mary (Cuba) Stachura. Bernard lived his entire life on the family farm in Polk County, Nebraska where he was engaged in farming until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, and the outdoors. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan, Nebraska.

Bernard is survived by his sister Catherine Stachura of rural Columbus.
