Dennis Wallace

Dennis J. Wallace, age 58, of Columbus died Sunday; November 18, 2001 at his home in Columbus. Funeral Services are10:30 a.m. Wednesday; November 21, 2001 at the First United Methodist Church in Columbus. The Rev. Gary Main will officiate. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the McKown Funeral Home

Denny was born October 9, 1943 in Shelby, Nebraska to Gerald & Lucille (Heins) Wallace. In 1961 he graduated from Rising City High School. He moved to Columbus at this time where he has lived since. He operated the Champlin Station in Columbus with his father until the mid 70's. He then owned and operaated Wallace Oil Company until 1985. He later established C-L Express Company which he currently was operating. For the past three years he has worked at Country Shadows Golf Course. He enjoyed cards, football, gardening and woodworking. He had served in the National Guard and was a member of the American Veterans and the Elks.
