In Memory of Emilia B. Micek

Emilia B. Micek, 88, of Columbus formerly of Duncan, died Monday November 12, 2001 at the Columbus Manor.  Funeral services are 10:30 am on Thursday November 15 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan with the Rev. Dave Korth officiating.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 3-5 pm at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus and after 6 pm at St. Stanislaus Church in Duncan.  There will be a Vigil service at 7:30 pm Wednesday at the church.  Visitation will continue on Thursday from 9 am until service time at the church.  Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Duncan.

Emilia was born November 9, 1913 in Platte County, Nebraska to John and Mary (Maslonka) Slusarski. She received her education at St Stanislaus Grade School and District 16 Country School. She lived in Platte County all her life and married Alphons Micek October 24, 1937 in Duncan, NE. She raised a family and worked as head cook for the lunch program for St. Stanislaus School. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, St Anns Sodality, Franciscan Order-3rd Order of St. Francis, and Legion of Mary.  Memorials may be directed to the donors choice.
