In Memory of Sandra Swantek Porter

Sandra S. (Swantek) Porter, age 33 of Bellevue, Ne. formerly of Columbus, NE. died Monday March 19, 2001 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, NE.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday March 22, 2001 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Joseph A. Miksch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery - Pilsno rural Osceola, NE.
Visitation is from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A Vigil Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Sandra S. (Swantek) Porter was born August 26, 1967 in Columbus, NE. to John & Carol (Johnson) Swantek, Jr. She graduated from Osceola H.S. in 1986 and graduated cum laude from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a Masters Degree in Counseling. She worked for the Columbus Catholic Schools as a Counselor for 2 years before moving to Memphis, Tenn. She was a Counselor at Sheffield Elementary School and Rock Springs Elementary School in Tennessee. On July 31, 1999 she was united in marriage to Kent Porter in Germantown, Tenn. The couple moved to Nashville and then to Bellevue, Ne. where she was employed at Highland Academy in Omaha. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Omaha. Sandra enjoyed country music, collecting Barbie Dolls and her dog Morgan.
