In Memory of Minnie L. Janssen

Minnie L. Janssen, age 89, of Columbus died Monday; July 9, 2001 at the Columbus Manor. Funeral services will be Friday 10:00 am at St. Lukes Congregational Church UCC. The Rev. Nancy Peebles will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday 4-8 pm at the McKown Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday morning, 9:00 am until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus, Nebraska. 

Minnie was born June 10, 1912 in Platte Center to Harry and Elsena (Husmann) Kamm. She grew up in Platte Center. On October 20, 1930 she married August Janssen. She resided in Platte Center and Columbus throughout her life. In 1954 she moved into Columbus where she has lived since. She worked many years at Gloor Bakery. She was a member of St. Luke's Congregational Church UCC in Columbus and the Rhoda Circle. 


Minnie is survived by her children and grandchildren: 
Son Leon Janssen Columbus, NE 
Son Gary (Bonnie) Janssen Norfolk, NE 
Son Gayle (Jeanetta) Janssen Norfolk, NE 
Daughter Beverly (Ron) Wells Lincoln, NE 
9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren 

She was preceded in death by: 
Husband August Janssen 
Brother John Kamm 
Sister Dorothy Trienies
